God exists

Who then is greatest in the kingdom of heaven?

(Matthew 18:1)

The answer to that question had been the subject of controversy among the chosen twelve disciples. The apostles are probably thinking that one of them is the greatest and they want The Lord to name such. Their entire conception of greatness is wrong! They think in terms of earthly qualifications. They keep comparing their selves to each other. Those who desire to be great naturally work toward that goal by exalting themselves. It is born of pure selfishness... Church News - Check church's Events Calendar
  1. By God’s will the series of sermons of Dr. Magdi Ishak will start on Sunday 1st of August after the Holy Liturgy from 1:00 – 2:30 p.m. and it will continue every day at 7:30 p.m. from Monday till Friday, 6 August.Let us pray and benefit from this blessed occasion
  2. The meeting of the Holy Family (a meeting for families) will be held every Friday from 8:30 - 9:30 p.m. and all families are invited to attend.
  3. The church is kindly requesting members of the congregation who change addresses to notify us with the new address.
  4. The Youth Bishopric in Egypt is undertaking a project of a general spiritual meeting between the Egyptian youth in foreign countries and Egypt’s youth to take place next Christmas. Any one who wishes to participate please address your request to Father Pishoy.
  5. The Montreal Africa Mission trip will be collecting your donations (in kind or in cash) for the mission in Zambia and Congo throughout the month of July – Please contact Marianne Khalil or Marianne Mikhail for any information.
  6. The meeting of Saint John the beloved will organize a trip to Quebec City on Tuesday 20 July. The cost will be 25$ (without food). Places are limited. For registration please contact Mervat Salib. The bus will move at 7:00 a.m. and return at 09:00 p.m..
